June 16, 2018 – Campus Wi-Fi network upgrade

On Saturday, June 16, 2018, the campus Wi-Fi networks will be upgraded. During the morning, you may at times be unable to access the eduroam, Cornell-Visitor, or RedRover wireless networks. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this might cause.

After the upgrade is complete, the first time you connect to eduroam you will need to re-authenticate once and accept the new “network-access.it.cornell.edu” certificate. Some eduroam users may experience a 60-second delay during the re-authentication process.

Those who visit other campuses may be interested to know that Cornell’s upgraded eduroam configuration will match standard eduroam requirements for all institutions. This will better allow traveling Cornell users to connect to eduroam networks at over 450 other colleges and universities in the US, and thousands more around the world.

Visit IT@Cornell Wi-Fi to learn about Cornell’s wireless networks, including how to connect while on campus. If you experience issues connecting to campus Wi-Fi, you should contact Chemistry or the central IT Service Desk for assistance.
